The Foes within Ravingspire

Chaos Cards summon deadly Foes onto the Hero's level!
Foes represent villains and ex-heroes who attempted to reach the Tower's Spire but went mad in the process. Now they haunt the tower corridors, hunting heroes who dare try to succeed where they could not!

When Chaos cards are pulled from the Encounter Deck, powerful Foes appear on the player's level. They wander the halls instinctively hunting down the Heroes turn-by-turn. They stay in the shadows until they strike, so one never knows which specific Foe they will be facing until the showdown begins!

A Hero must prepare their equipment well before taking on a Foe, for a Foe cannot be defeated by Brute Force.

When a Chaos card is pulled from the Encounter deck, the player must immediately perform the action listed on the card. Furthermore, it activates THE FOE ADVANCES, which will either cause a Foe token to appear or cause an existing token to move toward the player!

Foes are the only adversaries who carry keys for the doorway to the Spire Keep.

The Foe Advances

  • If there is no Foe token on the player's level when THE FOE ADVANCES, a Foe token is placed on the level's Stairway space (on the Dungeon or Temple levels), or on the Tower Door (on the Spire level).

  • If a Foe token is present on the player's level when THE FOE ADVANCES, and its not already occupying a space with a Hero token, then the Foe token immediately moves one space toward the current player.
